Shopping Profile: Teen Vogue Top Blogger Kaycee Dawson
Occupation:Student by day, blogger by night. I'm a student studying Fashion Merchandising at LIM College and founder of Daily Dose of Dawson.
Favorite designers / brands:My favorites would have to include Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Rebecca Minkoff, Topshop, MINKPINK,
BCBGMaxazria, just to name a few because I feel that these brands and designers are reasonable in price and can fit my budget.
Daily uniform:To be honest, everyday is a different outfit/uniform because it all depends on what I am doing. When going to school and interning, I typically would wear a chunky turtle neck sweater, black skinny pants, and over the knee boots or booties. When running errands, I'll take the sport chic look--soccer athletic pants, a basic top, and running sneakers.Lastly, when hanging out with friends or going out for a night on the town, I will throw on a romper with a statement heel. One thing that I love to do is mixing and matching items that one would think would never work.
Best designer item you got on a discount, and where:
The best item I got on a discount would have to be this gunmetal metallic crossbody Tory Burch bag that I got at a sample sale. I previously interned for Tory Burch where they host two sample sales a year for their employees and I was lucky enough to attend one. The crossbody retails for around $300 and I bought the bag for $35. It is one of the best purchases I have made to this day!
Shopping tips:Being that I am a college student shopping on a budget, I usually resort to shopping at Forever 21, H&M, or the Savvy section of Nordstrom (which of course isn't a bad thing). I tend to gravitate to those items that many people would not purchase and to me, that's what makes them unique. The place where I find the best discounts would have to be Forever 21. I know, I know, it is a discounted mass retailer, but you would be surprised to find lots of designer-like items in that store.
